Come to Worship
Our church typically has two worship services every Sunday. While both are rooted in scripture - each service is distinctly different. By reading the descriptions below, you can decide which service will best fit you, the traditional or the comtemporary.
There are a few times during the year that we hold only one service on a Sunday morning. When that happens, there will be a special announcement on the home page of this website.
Traditional Service
Our 8:30 service has a traditional. We sing hymns from our Lutheran Book of Worship combined with a newer tradition of the With One Voice hymnal. One Old Testament reading and One New Testament reading proceed the Gospel lesson followed by a “down to earth” sermon by Pastor Larry Bong. Holy Communion is served on the 1st and 3rd Sundays with a Children Sermon on opposite weeks. This service is enhanced with special music by our Choir and other muscians. This is a service that is truly rooted in the Word of God. Solidly traditional.
Contemporary Service
At 10:45 we have adopted a more contemporary style of service. The music mostly current worship, popular on Christian radio. The message is biblical, relavent, practical, and fun. Interaction is encouraged with picnics, special events, and activities both during and after service.
Holy Communion is served 1st and 3rd Sundays with a Chrildren Sermon on the opposite weeks. Come and join us on the journey.
Holy Communion
No matter which service you choose to attend, anyone who proclaims Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and believes Jesus is truly present as we receive the bread and wine of the Sacrament is welcome to receive Holy Communion. Children are invited to come to the alter during Holy Communion for a blessing.
